Welcome
to Emulation Nation! - |
Welcome to our new site! Most of you may remember the old EN-Y2K,
then again maybe you're completely new here. Maybe you're new to
emulation in general? In any case, i will show you what it is, how
to play, and how to do yet ANOTHER cool thing on your computer. There
are no sex banners here, or warez banners. We dont need that shit
on this site. This is a free site, i do it to benefit myself and
other gamers out there. I do not get paid to create this site.
It is done in my free time, which, due to lack of suitable dating material
in my city right now... haha, i have A LOT of free time (grin).
Now, as usual, i cannot offer every ROM known to man. Linking sucks,
why link? The other webmasters' just change their links up and get
pissed. I'd get pissed, too. I will try to offer downloads
directly from my site here. Please be aware, this site is mainly
for those NOT new to emulation. This is a site for intermediate AND
pro emulation gamers. Newbies may feel lost here, but i will not
hold hands and walk new people through the emulation scene anymore.
As a last word, there have been quite a few TG-16 roms going around that
are VIRUS-INFECTED! In particular, Galaga '88 and Galaga '90.
Emulation Nation virus scans ALL files prior to putting them online.
So rest assured, your downloads are quite safe. Happy gaming, boys
'n girls... |
News
for March - 2000 - |
March
18 - Saturday - 2000
Whoa... have we been busy! We have 150 Gameboy roms to add, and im
swamped! A new member joined the EN force today, goes by the name
of "Jest". He is collecting the Gameboy roms and soon some Game Gear/Master
System roms. Also, the webmaster of Smile Emlation named "Stu" has
agreed to join us! Any other emulation site webmasters wanna join
up with EN, just email me! I have Genesis, Gameboy and soon GG/SMS
roms to add, and man i am behind schedule. Been busy. But it'll
all get done, dont worry. Before i can work on EN today, i gotta
run some errands. Wont take too long, and i hope to finish the Gameboy
roms page today, too. Look for a "credits" type page to appear here,
showing off our new staff members!
March
16 - Thursday - 2000
Well, we have a new addition to EN coming soon. A person! Wont
tell his name right now, but he is 1 of many webmasters who have agreed
to join Emulation Nation! He will be managing some uploads soon,
and other varied junk. Hopefully more small emulation website webmasters
will join EN and it's quest to be the #1 source for your emulation needs.
Also in the news, i had a tough time getting FTP space for roms.
I have a solution, for now. The NINTENDO ROMS now work fully, they
should NOT send you off to another website again, or give you an ERROR
404 page anymore. More roms to come soon! Bookmark EN now,
we get hotter by the hour!
March
13 - Monday - 2000
This
news is in purple because it is VERY important you
read it now! Ok, no one likes a damned LINKER. I hate'em too.
But, for now, i link to a few emulators. Why not? Its fine
to link to them AS LONG AS (in my opinion) you dont keep the links.
Like the roms, lets keep the links for "24 hours" hahaha. Anyhow,
Freeservers.com where i run this site from, wont let me upload files larger
than 400k FOR NOW. So i am stuck, so to speak. Some roms and
emulators are over 400k of course, duh. I found out, than on 9 out
of 10 of my "linked files", that if you click for instance the ULTRAHLE
emulator download link, it sends ya ass to a page saying "Sorry, that page
or file is not found". Haha, nonsense. If you get this error
on ANY of my links, here's a trick to get around this --- simply come back
to my site, (alt+left arrow on keyboard) and RIGHHT-CLICK the link.
Select SAVE AS or SAVE TARGET AS, depending on your browser, and it'll
save the damned .ZIP file to your hard disk. *Sigh* some webmasters
run shitty sites and they do link-switching, which means they run CGI scripts
and java applets that switch the links up every 12-24 hours, so linkers
cant link. Well, tickle me pink, this doesnt always work. The
REAL linkers, they wanna link. Someone links from them and their
ugly ass sites, OH NO! HEAVEN FORBID! It's a double-standard!
The linkers can link, but no one can link from them? Ahh blow it
out your unexperienced-with-running-a-rom-site-asses. I found a way
around it, boo hoo. Links are not copyrighted (yet) so i will link
if i choose to, thank you, but i wont do it PERMANENTLY. Anyhow,
try right-clicking any "broken" links on my site. I did it on the
ULTRAHLE V1.0 emulator download link, and it worked fine (big nasty grin).
If a link DOESNT work when right-clicked? Email me NOW and let me
know ASAP so i can just upload the fucking file to my own damned site.
Jesus Christ, cry baby webmasters, waa waa waa, "Dont link to my stuff!"
Ahh go to hell, ya stupid net bastards..... |

The
Proving Grounds |
| This
is a NEW
and special section set up TODAY, 03-13-2000, to prove to the gamers who
CANT run emulators like UltraHLE, Bleem! and others on their systems, that
these emus DO work in fact! Its not EN's fault some of you have really
SHITTY computers and wonder "Why cant i play N64 or PSX roms on my computer?"
- because you're an idiot, and need to UPGRADE man! Here's the pudding
and the proof within now...
UltraHLE
works, with sound, 1024x768 screen resolution and 25-50 frames per second
(depending on the UltraHLE settings you specify).
Mario
Kart 64
Screen
Shot #1 - The intro screen when the game is in 'demo' or 'attract'
mode as it's currently still called today.
Screen
Shot #2 - The NINTENDO golden logo spinning and getting blurry as it
speeds up.
Screen
Shot #3 - The Mario Kart 64 title screen.
Screen
Shot #4 - Select character screen. Yes, you will see some graphical
flaws the UltraHLE emulator produced during gameplay.
Screen
Shot #5 - Starting the race!
Screen
Shot #6 - Some screen shots i took at lower resolutions than 1024x768,
but i saved them as 1024x768 to show off game detail.
Screen
Shot #7 - Me racing around as Mario fat ass, and Toad wouldnt get off
my butt. A little bit of frame rate loss here and there.
Screen
Shot #8 - Still, you see graphical glitches, but the game looked and
sounded 95% like the real thing, maybe even 98% close.
Screen
Shot #9 - Im still taking pictures, using my F10 key, weee!
Screen
Shot #10 - More and more proof, that UltraHLE works people...
Screen
Shot #11 - Hell im still playing, in first place in the race, and having
fun! Woo hoo! I love MY fast computer! (evil smirk)
UltraHLE
works, with sound, 1024x768 screen resolution and 25-50 frames per second
(depending on the UltraHLE settings you specify).
Golden
Eye 007
Screen
Shot #1 - James Bond is walking within view of the sniper-scope intro
screen here.
Screen
Shot #2 - Yes, there are still flaws in UltraHLE, but this shows its
coming along fine! The sounds are PERFECT as well.
Screen
Shot #3 - Here's the Golden Eye 007 game logo now.
Screen
Shot #4 - Here we are, the game itself. If only the graphics
were as hot as the sounds are, hmm. The gun here, has a bad "shiny"
flaw in it.
Screen
Shot #5 - Im still going around, my frame rate sucks. I turned
sound off and got up to 28 frames per second, not bad really.
Screen
Shot #6 - With the sound off (and the sound is so perfect, awww), i
still get 28 FPS as i zoom in and snipe enemies from afar.
Screen
Shot #7 - I dropped screen resolution to 512x384 and the graphics looked
like HORRIDLY rendered D3D shit, blah...
Screen
Shot #8 - Still playing, still killing guys, sound is back ON (couldnt
resist) and the frame rate lags along, 15-20 FPS.
Screen
Shot #9 - Here i am, still sniping, shooting, killing, all that crap.
Screen
Shot #10 - Even with the crapola frame rate loss here, the game is
still responsive and the music doesnt miss a beat!
Screen
Shot #11 - Lastly, i smother some poor russian with bullets.
The color in the 3D models suck, but the mountains are perfect... and NO
SKY?!
Next
UltraHLE game to get sent to these Proving
Grounds is the N64 rom MARIO 64! We'll
see what UltraHLE can do. If i can get some major frame rates in
Mario 64, then the UltraHLE is worth it's weight in gold, and i HIGHLY
recommend this emulator to you all, and i suggest a VooDoo3 card!
Dont worry, the Proving Grounds
roms will be online for download within a matter of days... its hard to
run this site alone, you know, so hush up :-P |
