MAME |
Mame
is a fine emulator, and it emulates over 1000 arcade games! I have
found it to work great, providing you have a nice system to run it on!
Everything from from Pong to Pac Man, from Galaga to Double Dragon, from
Shinobi to Street Fighter 2... Mame can make it happen perfectly!
Mame is constantly being upgraded and tweaked, and new beta versions arrive
all the time. Mame isnt an emulator that will be here one day, and
then dropped the next. Mame is the real deal for hard-core arcade
emulation fans. It's best to download any possible available version
of MAME in ASM (assembly) code. It runs faster, but may crash here
and there. The C code of MAME is more reliable, but runs a little
slower on some computers. I have an AMD processor, so i se an ASM
version optimized for my AMD. Just pick which is right for you!
