16 is the name Sega gave this arcade line up, with its "system16" arcade
boards. There is also system8, system18 and system32 arcade boards.
With a fast computer MAME runs system16 games BETTER than System 16 emulator
does. |

System
16 only emulates Sega arcade games, from their "System 16" arcade-board
line up. Games such as Hang On, Out Run, Alien Syndrome, Golden Axe,
Altered Beast, Shinobi, Shadow Dancer and many more. The Windows
version runs way too slow, even on faster systems, and the DOS version
runs too fast on fast systems! Luckily, you can tweak System 16 to
run at normal arcade-speeds, but the tweaking is tricky to do. Make
sure to check out our Tweak Guides for help on just such problems!
